Kids Zone

We want kids to have fun at the festival too! We have everything from amusement rides, painting pumpkins, a pumpkin derby and more.

Bring the whole family and let your little pumpkins enjoy a wide range of fun activities designed just for them. The Kids Zone offers a variety of hands-on experiences that will keep the young ones entertained all day long!


The Kid Zone is open Friday - Sunday from 11 a.m. - 5 p.m. (except where noted).

Pumpkin Painting & Derby with the Fitton Center

Let your creativity shine with pumpkin painting or test your speed in the pumpkin derby! The Fitton Center returns with these festival favorites, with help from local Boy Scouts volunteers.


Yard Games with the Boys & Girls Club of Hamilton

Challenge your friends to classic yard games like Hula Hoops, Corn Hole, and more! The Boys & Girls Club will be on hand to provide hours of outdoor fun.

McCloskey Wonder Works Museum

Take a break for some quiet time with coloring activities and engaging story times, perfect for kids who love to use their imaginations.

  • Fri & Sat: 11 a.m. - 2 p.m. at Lane Tech Center in Journal Square.
  • Sun: 12 - 5 p.m. at Miami Hamilton Downtown on High Street

Crafts & Scavenger Hunt with the City of Hamilton Health Department

Get crafty and explore the festival with a scavenger hunt led by the City of Hamilton Health Department. Fun and adventure await!

Bracelet Making with Rotary Club of Hamilton

Create your own wearable art by designing a custom bracelet with help from the Rotary Club of Hamilton.

Face Painting with Purple Mountain Pigments

Add a splash of color to your festival look with face painting by Purple Mountain Pigments.

Get ready for a wild ride! Join us for thrilling amusement rides that promise fun for all. From the festival classics to heart-pounding rides, there's excitement for everyone. Rides will start at 4 p.m. on Friday and run through the festival. (Please note: Amusement rides are a paid activity.)
